Nursery Place Community Project

Three projects from Annandale are bidding for cash on ITV Border’s People’s Millions this week – Nursery Place Community Project, Devils Porridge and Annan Athletic FC. ITV People’s Millions is a competition run by both ITV and The Big Lottery Fund, giving local community projects the opportunity to bid for up to £50,000 in lottery cash. The competition will take place for three days beginning on November 25th on ITV Border News at 6pm. Each night two projects will make their bid for viewers’ support to take home up to £50,000, with the public voting by phone to help decide who wins the prize. There are three, £50,000 awards up for grabs in each region – one award for each night, as well as a bonus award for the runner up with the most phone votes across the week. Phone numbers will not be available until the day in which the projects are being shown on ITV Border News. Today (Monday 25th November), Annan’s Nursery Place Community Project go against Carlisle MENCAP. We went along to the Community Project to find out what they do and why they need your vote. Tomorrow and Wednesday will see us visit the two other projects to see what they have to say.
