Nuclear Waste Disposal Consultation - Your Views

The MOD recently held a public consultation event in Annan regarding plans to bring and store waste from decommissioned Nuclear submarines to Chapelcross Nuclear Power Plant. Chapelcross is one of 5 sites around the UK that the MOD is considering storing the nuclear waste in and they are wanting the public’s views. We attended an event at the Victoria Halls in Annan on Friday and Saturday the 28th and 29th November last year and got people’s views on the proposals as they left the venue. We also spoke to local politicians, David Mundell and Dr Elaine Murray. For anyone that wasn’t able to go to the event or feels that they need more information, there is a further consultation exercise at the Victoria Hall in Annan all day on Thursday January 15th.
