Annan Athletic bid to trial alcohol reintroduction

Annan Athletic are one of a number of clubs who are considering reintroducing selling alcohol at football matches through a trial scheme. Alcohol was banned from being sold at Scottish football matches in the wake of the famous 1980 Scottish Cup Final where Rangers and Celtic fans rioted in the middle of Hampden Park. The issue of reintroducing alcohol to Scottish football has recently been in the national news. We decided to take a trip to Galabank last Saturday before the game against Arbroath to speak to the fans and officials about their views on the subject.
