Quintinshill 100: Britain's Biggest Rail Disaster

In a special video on the 100th anniversary of the Quintinshill disaster we talk to Colonel Robert Watson of the Royal Scots Association who tells us what happened on that fateful day on 22nd May 1915. Many soldiers died in a horrible train crash near Gretna while they were on their way to the fighting in Gallpoli. We also talk to Archie Dryburgh, the Chairman of the Gretna, Springfield and Eastriggs Commemoration Committee and several descendants of the soldiers who attended a commemoration event near the site of the disaster yesterday.

Bill Jardine - Saturday 23rd May 9:55pm

Great video, better than any of the main stream news items that I've seen, very well done.
